Algebra 1 Tutoring

Algebra 1 is the most common math course in high school. But what is not common is every student learning it. Every student is different, and most need individual instruction to do better in math. With my over 15 years of tutoring experience, over 7 years of teaching high school and college math, and Master's Degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Education,  I can provide quality personal tutoring in Algebra 1, and any other high school math course. Arithmetic and Algebra are the building blocks of all math, and I love helping students get a better understanding of them for long lasting success in the future math courses: Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus of any level.

The purpose of the Algebra 1 is to increase student awareness of the importance of mathematics in the modern world. Students need to become more confident of their ability of work with mathematical concepts and relationships. They need to learn how to think systematically and use the precise logic required for mathematical problem solving. Algebra 1 builds on the student's understanding of basic mathematics in the study of algebraic skills and problem solving. Students have to learn to express real-world problems in algebraic sentences in order to find solutions. I can assist in successful completion of the course, which is an indispensable step in preparation for geometry, more advanced algebra, trigonometry, and advanced mathematics.

Algebra 1 help from an experienced math tutor available in-home, or at a library. Online algebra tutoring can be arranged as well.
